Agreements

The animal(s) will remain the property of GRRI and will be turned over immediately upon request to an officer of GRRI.

The animal(s) will be kept in the foster home and will not be allowed off-leash in an unfenced area unless accompanied by and in the secure control of an adult.

Food will be provided by the foster family at their expense.

Veterinary costs will be paid for (or reimbursed) by GRRI, but the foster family must receive prior approval before obtaining such services except in emergency situations. In a true emergency, the foster family is authorized to sign for and consent to all reasonable and necessary veterinary procedures. This contract is proof of such authority.

All other expenditures must be approved in advance by an officer of GRRI. The foster family may be responsible for expenditures which do not have the pre-approval of GRRI.

Heartworm preventative and all other medications the animal(s) requires will be paid for (or reimbursed) by GRRI. The foster family will ensure that animal(s) receive these medications per the instructions provided by GRRI and/or the vet providing care for the animal(s).

If provided with an identification tag, this tag will remain affixed to the animal's collar at all times. Foster families are also encouraged to affix an identification tag giving the family's address and phone number.

The animal(s) will be released for adoption into a permanent home only under the supervision of GRRI to a family approved by GRRI. Adoptive families may be contacted occasionally by the foster family to inquire about the animal(s) as long as the adoptive families are accorded respect and privacy.

All donations received in connection with the adoption of the animal(s) will be sent directly to GRRI.

The foster family agrees to provide accurate information to prospective adoptive families, if requested to do so, and when possible and convenient, to allow prospective adoptive families to visit the animal(s) at the foster family's home.

Any questions or problems are to be directed to GRRI officers. Any notice of injury, illness or other emergency situation will be reported immediately. If it is necessary to remove the animal(s) from the home, possession will be given directly to an officer of GRRI.

The foster family will contact the designated officer of GRR I at regular intervals to report on the status of the dog.

If GRRI is unable to have the dog altered prior to foster placement, the foster family agrees that the animal will be spayed or neutered within the timeframe designated by GRRI. A pre-approved veterinarian is to be used to perform the procedure. All costs associated with this procedure will be paid for by GRRI

GRRI and its officers are not responsible for injuries to people or pets, orfor property loss or damage. The foster family will accept responsibility for any such events that occur while fostering the animal(s).

The foster home acknowledges that it has read this agreement and agrees to abide by the procedures outlined therein.

I pledge to make sure any Golden I foster from GRRI will always be placed in a safe situation when I am not at home.

I agree not to tie or chain any Golden I foster from GRRI indoors or outdoors, nor let him/her run off my property without being leashed.

I agree to train or re-train any Golden I foster from GRRI to be a good companion.

I understand that by signing this contract, I am agreeing to take sole legal responsibility for any Golden I foster from GRRI, and I understand that GRRI will not be legally liable or responsible for any damage to persons or property that may be caused by any Golden fostered by me.

I understand that if any Golden I foster from GRRI is being neglected or abused, GRRI has reserved the right to reclaim said Golden.

I understand that if I foster a Golden from GRRI, at the time of fostering, I will execute and fulfill the obligations of the GRRI Foster Agreement.

I grant GRRI full access to all veterinary records for the pets(s) referenced in this Application.

Fosters are NOT determined on a first come basis. GRRI chooses the most compatible environment for each Golden. GRRI reserves the right to refuse a foster to any potential applicant(s). Fosters must be over 21 years of age.
